The Jackson County Banner is offering a basket of goodies and will hold an open house on Friday, Dec. 4, with free refreshments. Located at 116 E. Cross St.

Clotheshorse Consignment Shop will have an open house at their new location at 121 N. Main St. (the old Zabel building) from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday with free fudge and entertainment.

Family Drug also will be serving free refreshments that day.

Gifts Galore, 721 W. Commerce, will be holding a two-day open house on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5. A Boyd’s miniature old-fashioned toy box will be given away on Friday for Hometown Christmas Giveaway and shoppers may also sign up for an additional store drawing on Saturday.

Look for the HO, HO, HO! Hometown Christmas Giveaway sign at participating businesses and sign up each time you stop in! All entries will be included in the grand prize drawing (a Christmas wreath provided by the Hometown Christmas Committee and a white ceramic nativity scene made by Millie Dill and donated by Gifts Galore) at 7 p.m. at the courthouse.
