Brianna Toppe named January Youth of the Month

Brownstown Central High School senior Brianna Toppe, Vallonia, was named the Brownstown Youth of the Month at a recent meeting. Committee chairman Kevin Gwinn introduced Toppe as, “A very quiet person who will stand her ground and is outspoken in her beliefs.” He went on to say, “She is a very successful athlete in open class competition such as track and cross country.”

Toppe participates in volleyball, basketball, track (All-Conference Honorable Mention), and cross country (All-Conference Honorable Mention and Mental Attitude Award). She is a member of Booster Club, Letterman’s Club, National Honor Society, and Student Council. She is the treasurer of her church youth group. Her community service work includes Sunday School teacher, Relay for Life, Kids Against Hunger, and volunteers at Hoosier Christian Village nursing Home.

Club President Joe Bradley presented the award to Brianna who was accompanied by her parents, Kim and Ron Toppe. Toppe thanked the club for the honor and said she was planning to attend the University of Indianapolis and major in physical therapy. Brianna was accompanied to the meeting by her parents Ron and Kim Toppe.

The Brownstown exchange Club meets at 7 a.m. every Tuesday morning at Brocks Restaurant. Visitors are always welcome.
